Coffee Logs – Carbon Neutral Solid Fuel
In this wasteful world we live in, constantly emitting noxious fumes and greenhouse gases, it may seem like the roaring, smoking fireplace is doomed to disappear from our lives as yet another producer of C02. Unless a clever, carbon-neutral fuel can be found to power our lovely fires…. Enter the Coffee Log!
Burns longer and hotter than regular wood
Made from recycled coffee grounds
Nothing beats a nice, roaring fire. But burning wood or charcoal releases carbon dioxide – not really the effect we want our fireside enjoyment to have on the environment. But actually, in this day and age it is possible to have your cake and eat it too, with logs that burn with a real fire but without the environmental cost. It may seem like a bit of an oxymoron, but burning logs can actually be good for the environment. These conscientious logs are made from a substance that usually ends up in landfill, and what’s even better is that they are carbon neutral, allowing for cosy and guilt-free fireside moments.
Made in the UK from recycled coffee grounds – which are usually thrown away wastefully into landfill – these biofuel logs burn hotter and longer than regular wood to provide that cosy, roaring fire we all love. Coffee grounds contain about 20% more energy than wood, making them an ideal biofuel replacement for wooden logs. This meaning sparing more trees and recycling more precious waste all through the enjoyment of a warm and long-lasting roaring fire. Sounds like a win-win situation all around!
